INVISALIGN

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign aligner therapy is a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth. At the Mews Dental  we use 3D computer technology scanning using the latest technology to image and design your bespoke orthodontic aligner treatment.

Invisalign has the benefit of showing you your complete treatment progression based on Dr Vora’s prescription, from the initial position of your teeth towards the final desired position.

A series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth to move them little by little.

Each aligner is worn for approximately one week and then changed to the next in the series, gradually moving towards the final position. The treatment time depends on your specific needs and will be decided at the early stages with Dr Vora. Some treatment can be completed in as little as 3 months.

How does Invisalign work?

The aligners move teeth through a series of controlled movements. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign treatment controls the amount of movement that each aligner delivers, the timing of the movement and, also which teeth move.

The overall result will be that only certain teeth can move, following the Invisalign treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force delivery required for the orthodontic correction.

How much does Invisalign cost?

As with other types of orthodontic treatment, the cost of Invisalign treatment depends on the complexity of your treatment and during the consultation with Dr Vora you will be given a cost estimate and also alternatives to compare to.

Please see our fees page for our latest prices.

The treatment can also be funded interest free through our in house finance department.

What is SureSmile?

Many people may not know about Suresmile but it is similar to Invisalign.

Clear aligners are used to move the teeth.

Your  dentist can advise you on which product would be best for your teeth.

TEETH WHITENING

How does teeth whitening work?

If you're looking for stunning, long lasting and affordable teeth whitening in Baldock from a highly rated and experienced dentist, our modern 5* rated clinic can help.

Professional Tooth whitening is an easy and safe method which whitens teeth which has been discoloured due to stains on your enamel and dentine. This is down to everyday food, drinks and lifestyle choices e.g. coffee, tea, red wine, fizzy drinks, tomato sauce, smoking

Over time, these stains can work their way to the layer below enamel, known as dentin. When this becomes stained, the whole tooth looks darker because of the translucency of enamel.

The teeth whitening process

So that the whole process is safe,  all our home teeth whitening treatments start with a consultation with a highly experienced dentist.

The consultation will discuss your teeth and which product is best for your teeth. Then you can take the home whitening kits with you and do it in your own comfort.

One produce we use is Philips Zoom home teeth whitening kits which are a safe and convenient way to get white teeth in 1 or 2 weeks.

Professional tooth whitening steps involve:

  • A thorough dental consultation

  • A digital scan or impression of your teeth to make custom made whitening trays

  • Shade selection and photographs

  • Provide the patient the correct whitening gel and full demonstration and instructions

  • Follow up to make sure you are happy

DENTAL IMPLANTS

What are dental implants?

For those who have one or more missing teeth and you do not wish to have a bridge or denture then dental implants could be your solution.

Implants are great for fixing you smile and aesthetically very pleasing.

Missing teeth can cause teeth to shift due to space resulted from the missing teeth and may cause shrinkage of the jawbone which makes one appear older than you are.

This video can help explain what a dental implant is:

How much do dental implants cost?

We are extremely competitive compared to other dentists around Baldock and we try to keep this treatment as affordable as we can given the complexity of the treatment.

We can not give an exact price until our dentists review your case due to other factors that may be involved.

To see our latest implant prices, please see our fees guide. We also offer 0% credit (subject to status) to help with making this treatment affordable.

What are the risks with having a dental implant?

There is a small chance that the implant can fall out when the surrounding bone doesn't not heal to the 'titanium root'. This is a 1 in 20 chance. Our dentists will work with you to ensure that this is a small chance.

How long do dental implants last?

This is a difficult question as it can last for up to 20 years or more if properly cared for. Lifestyle choices, hygiene care,  general health and many other factors can effect the longevity of the dental implant. We can  provide you with the best advice and aftercare to ensure that the implant lasts for a long time.
